We know Perranuthnoe well and we found the property quietly situated in a mews courtyard with other properties. Being detached with its own secluded garden was very attractive. It is a warm and generally comfortable house. We liked the sea views from the front bedrooms and being able to hear the sea from the house. Being able to walk the short distance down to the sea and access to the South West Coast path from the house reduces driving. Meals at both the local beach cafe (where the staff were most helpful with finding options to deal with a food intolerance) and the Peppercorn Cafe are excellent. Sitting outside at tables overlooking the sea (at the beach cafe) makes a good meal even better! We enjoyed being close to places like Sennen Cove, Lands End and St Just and visited several good galleries. We visited several gardens (Trebah, Trengwainton and Trelissick this time) and always make a trip to the Penlee Gallery in Penzance to see the local artists' collection (and the excellent cafe!).

Holidays in Perranuthnoe

Just a stone's throw from the stunning St Michael's Mount, Perranuthnoe is the neighbouring village to the old market town of Marazion. With a beautiful beach, and rocky headlands with many coves and rock pools to explore, Perranuthnoe is the perfect place to relax in a peaceful area of Cornwall.

Located in Mount's Bay, Perranuthnoe is perfect for those looking to escape the crowds and enjoy the serenity that Cornwall has to offer. Described as a countryside village by the sea, Peranuthnoe is secluded enough to ensure a peaceful stay, but close enough to the bustling town of Marazion if you fancy a more lively atmosphere. With the Lizard Peninsula within easy reach, Perranuthnoe is perfect for walking holidays and exploring the rugged coastline.

Did you know...

when the conditions are right, Perranuthnoe is a great place to surf!

Things to do in Perranuthnoe

Dating back to the 12th century, Perranuthnoe's village pub named the 'Victoria Inn' is thought to be the oldest recorded Inn in Cornwall. Full of charm and character, this award winning pub is well worth a visit.

A short walk from the pub is the picturesque Perranuthnoe Church, which is dedicated to Cornwall's patron saint, St Piran. The church stands on the site of a former church dating back to 1160, and includes features from the original church, such as a Norman font.

Perranuthnoe beach, (also known as Perran Sands) offers good surfing when the conditions are right, and is ideal for beach-goers with its golden sands, cafe and car park. Be sure to visit at low tide however as there is very little left of the beach when the tide comes in! The Cabin Cafe offers stunning views and is featured in our blog: The best beach-front cafes in West Cornwall.

A popular fishing spot, even at low tide, Perranuthnoe is a favoured spot with the locals for seabass and dogfish.

The 'Village Crafts' centre located in a converted barn in the heart of the village offers an extensive range of local artwork, crafts, gifts, jewellery, and country clothing.

The Perranuthnoe Circular walk follows part of the South West Coast Path, which offers great views of St Michael's Mount, before cutting inland and back to Perranuthnoe via fields and villages.

The nearby Prussia Cove is a small and secluded rocky cove, surrounded by organic farmland and woodland has a famous history of smuggling!

Sandpipers is a lovely secluded cottage with good parking and well equipped facilities. This is our second visit to the well loved village of Perranuthnoe.

Sandpipers is a very comfortable family home in an excellent location. It is only about 5 minutes walk to a beautiful beach and an amazing cafe.

The house is fully equipped with everything you would need for a successful holiday.

We enjoyed our 2 week stay in Sandpipers in beautiful Perranuthnoe very much and hope to return in the future.

We love Sandpipers in Perranuthnoe, this is our second year in this property. Perranuthnoe is a perfect location for families, with cafes, a lovely pub and art gallery. The beautiful beach is only a few minutes walk away. Access to the coastal path gives an idyllic walk to Marazion. Happy holidays, wonderful memories.

Had a great time been before , great location recommended to friends coming this summer .

A very comfortable, well equiped house in a convenient location for the beach and Perranuthnoe amenities.

We love staying here and have booked again. Perfect holiday get away!

Sandpipers is the perfect antidote for people with hectic, noisy lives. Wonderfully quiet and very comfortable. Easy access to the beach for those who like to surf and swim. Superb food at the Victoria Inn which is two minutes walk away. The night sky is spectacular because there is very little light pollution.

Lovely place to stay with everything that we needed and the bonus of a pretty, well-kept garden. Our family includes older teens and young adults who were really happy to be able to access the beach without needing the car. The house has good facilities for rinsing and storing wetsuits etc. Easy access to South West Coast Path for wonderful walks in both directions - rounding the headline to the West into Mounts Bay is breath-taking.

Clean, spacious, peaceful. We love it!

This holiday cottage offered a perfect holiday which comfortably accommodated 3 adults and two children. Sandpipers has lots of space for storage of beach equipment, there's an outside tap to wash off your sandy feet. Just minutes away from the beach in a beautiful village. We were very sad to leave.

A real home from home in a beautiful location. Have just spent a blissful two weeks here and can't wait to return.

A lovely place!

Very comfortable and convenient location.

A really comfortable, spacious house, minutes from the beach. We've stayed here many times. Aspects Holidays are right on the ball and amazingly efficient in the unlikely event that you encounter a problem.

We liked Sandpipers location near cliff walks and lovely beach. The house was comfortable with everything we needed.

Sandpipers, Perranuthnoe, is an excellent well maintained and fitted holiday house in a lovely location.

Really enjoyed our stay, house very spacious and had all you would need. Although a winter visit it was warm & cosy, garden lovely and guess would be great in the spring/summer months. Location perfccet for beaches and cliff walks. Would recommend

Fabulous place to stay

Very well equipped - great location - spacious but cosy at the same time !!

Very comfortable holiday let with fantastic access to the beach

We have stayed at Sandpipers twice and have been very pleased with its position near the lovely beach and cliff walks of Perranuthnoe and we hope to visit again in the future.

Sandpipers is excellent for those looking for a comfortable property with private garden in a quiet setting but still just a couple of minutes from the beach.
