Our 5th stay at Michelyn. Superb apartment with outstanding views. Exceptionally clean. Very well equipped and comfortable. We will be back!

A very well equipped and perfectly sited apartment with amazing views all the luxuries that you would want for a great break. Top marks for the owner for providing the best of everything and Aspects for managing the property very competently :)

Fabulous, spacious, well cared for, and very comfortable apartment, with terrific coastal views. It is ideally placed for exploring this lovely corner of Cornwall, being virtually on the coast path, and being next to the Carbis Bay station on the St Ives to St Erth rail line. We found the local rail service to be regular and very economical, (even in November), without causing any disturbance at all to the tranquility of the apartment. We had a great week.

Michelyn is a well-appointed apartment with a fantastic view. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. The gated-parking is a bonus in this busy area. Aspects Holidays and many reviews mention a welcome food pack yet we received none. There was not even any milk for a cup of tea when we arrived! A phone call to Aspect Holidays was made but we had no further communications from either Aspect Holidays or the housekeeper. A few items of electrical equipment in the apartment were non-functioning and it is a pity that these had not been checked; they have been reported to Aspects Holidays.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are so sorry that you did not have your welcome pack left for you. Owners will provide a minimum of tea, coffee, milk, and sugar, and some will include additional items, so we really are sorry that this was not there for you and that the housekeeper had still not provided it despite this being chased up. This is not the norm and please rest assured that it has since been followed up. Your feedback is also automatically passed on to the owner so that they can check and address the feedback that you have given on the electrical equipment. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Tanya, Customer Services

I would highly recommend this apartment.it was very clean comfortable well stocked and had amazing sea views

Love all the Carbis Beach apartments but Michelyn, number 202, has got the most comfortable beds of all! A superb apartment with a fantastic view. Great welcome gifts of milk, butter, scones, jam & a bottle of wine were very much appreciated after our long drive. Just a delightful place to stay in Cornwall - love it!

We loved the location of Michelyn 202 and the apartment was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. We would have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family.

We have been to 202 for many years, it is like a home from home for us. From the fantastic view the easy walk to the beach and station. The apartment has everything in there you could ask for always clean, and the welcome package is fab

This is our second stay in this amazing apartment. The apartment has everything you need and the most amazing views. We will be back again very soon!

Our 4th stay here. It feels like a 2nd home. We can never have enough of the view. Appreciated the welcome pack on arrival.

A lovely apartment in a fantastic location. Some goodies waiting for us on arrival was nice. Saw dolphins and seals from the lounge on various occasions over 2 weeks. We had some minor issues with the property which have been reported, but nothing too serious. The information folder was very out of date. Directions for accessing the path to the beach would have been nice. We were cold on our 1st night because I was not sure of the heating controls. Simple instructions would have helped. We also discovered not all of the trains stop at Lelant... you only find out when it's too late and you are on the train. Local bus service brilliant. We had a lovely time.

We are so pleased to hear you had a great time at Michelyn and made the most of having that amazing sea view from the property. Thank you for getting in touch at the end of your stay to make us aware of these small maintenance points, these will now be investigated during the property's annual inspection, alongside the welcome folder information and heating instructions. We are sorry to hear you had some trouble with the train times, timetables are available online on GWR's website but we can understand the confusion once you are on the train. At least you could take in the lovely scenic train route from St Ives to St Erth! We very much hope we can welcome you back to Carbis Bay again soon. Katy, Customer Services.

Lovely apartment, excellent location could not have wished for more. Would definitely book again, what a view! Secure safe parking very close to station and Carbis Bay Hotel.

What a fantastic place to stay the views are amazing. So much was provided for even milk, butter & a few luxuries. So much thought has been put into what people may need, even beach toys & so much more. Loved it here

Great apartment with fab views of carbis bay, can't fault it. easy access to beach, it's not as steep up to it as some other places I've stayed in carbis. Had a great stay, beach is clean and safe.

Outstanding apartment fantastic location well equipped and comfortable spotlessly clean already looking to book again

Amazing views very comfortable stay just a few minor issues to update in our opinion already passed to aspects and thankyou for your service and welcome pack aspects holidays

This was our third stay in Michelin and we were just as comfortable in the apartment as our first visit. Such a lovely view and location.

Location is superb, lovely views, great having secure parking, having the train station on your doorstep is a bonus. Local taxi firms are great and friendly (A1 St Ives and Ace Cars). Staff at Aspect Holidays are brilliant, friendly and helpful!

Michelyn is a lovely, cosy apartment with easy access to the beach below. The view is spectacular! The train station gives you access to St Ives, Hayle and beyond and easy access to the A30. We are a family of 4 and were extremely comfortable and made use of the Jacuzzi bath in the main bedroom. The kitchen utilities were great as we cooked a couple of nights. Very comfortable stay and would love to stay there again. Thank you

Amazing place for a Christmas break.

Easy access to St Ives - either by train or cliff top walk.

This apartment is probably the best we have stayed in to date. Wonderful attention to cleanliness of which we believe is a paramount factor when arriving at any new holiday let. The owner has gone into a lot of detail when choosing the decor, furniture and essential equipment, well thought out. The security gate access to the apartment block was is a great plus. We justifiably complain when required, but we also will praise when justified. In this case we can highly praise the owner, well done.

Fantastic location overlooking Carbis Bay beach. Lovely clean apartment with everything we needed. Large bedrooms and bathrooms didn't want to leave. Gated parking with large spaces. Perfect.

beautiful flat with a great view and fab beach down below. with great sunshine you need not bother going abroad at all

Having visited Carbis Bay over 40 years ago we thought it would be nice to try again, we normally holiday in our touring caravan. However this May being both our 70th birthday and 50 years anniversary we thought something special was in order. Wow how special it was, could not fault anything, well done and thank you so much.

As always had a fantastic week in 202. The apartment was spotlessly clean, it's a home from home. And the view just adds to the pleasure of staying there. We will definitely be back again

We enjoyed our stay at Michelyn very much and was a great size for a family of four. Location couldn’t be any better for access to the beach and train station. Large and secure parking space close to front door, which is accessed via one short flight of stairs. Whilst the decor wasn’t to our taste, the apartment was well equipped, clean and extremely comfortable. The views and sound of the sea from the bedroom were particularly enjoyable. We leave with many happy memories and wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Michelyn again.

Our 3rd stay at Michelin...and it won't be our last. A lovely, well furnished apartment with such a wonderful view over the bay. Easy access to the station to catch the train to St Ives or further afield.

A lovely comfortable apartment well equipped for self catering. Very clean when we arrived. Superb views over Carbis Bay. We would recommend using the local train into St Ives - parking and traffic very busy

Really enjoyed our stay and are highly likely to return.

Last year we stayed in 205 Carbis Bay Apartments and were extremely pleased with it. This year we opted to try 202 Carbis Bay apartments. The quality of the apartment was super with all the home from home conveniences you could ask for. The views from the balcony are equally stunning. The added extra touches such as a massage chair in the master bedroom, spa bath (which you have to experience) and an american fridge freezer delivering iced water, make for an ideal holiday. We were a little disappointed that the twin beds were very small, suitable for children, and ideal as another double, however, our daughter and son, who are both adults, found them to be too small for their use. During these times of concern with covid, although we felt the apartment was in the main very clean and well presented, we will advise some minor concerns to Aspects Holidays directly. On the whole we can say that once again, Carbis Bay offered us a fabulous well needed break, with glorious sunshine, fabulous views and accommodation that felt home from home, with the added benefit of secure private parking, oh...and a visit in the bay itself from two friendly seals ?? We shall returm.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your review. We were delighted to see that you felt the property was of a high standard and that it felt like a home away from home, as this is how we want all guests to feel when on holiday. We were sorry to see that your son and daughter found the single beds to be too small for them, as an advertised king size zip and link bed, it will be 5' wide when made up to a king size; this will unfortunately mean that when split, they are slightly narrower than standard single beds, but the length remains at 6'6, so we are sorry if this was not what you had expected. Whilst we were glad to hear that you found the property to be clean, we were grateful for your direct feedback and rest assured that this was passed on to the relevant departments within Aspects. The seals around St Ives bay are a friendly and inquisitive bunch, so it was really nice to read that some popped onto the beach to say hello! Thanks again, we can't wait to welcome you back again soon. Ben, Customer Services

This is a must apartment to stay in and i would definatly use aspect hollidays again

Lovely warm cosy apartment stunning views would definitely return

This was our 3rd stay at 202 and as always it didn't disappoint, the view is fantastic (even in the rain) many an hour spent on the balcony watching the world go by. The apartment has everything you need, a total home from home, the extras of a cream tea, fruit and bottle of wine is very much appreciated. Many days the car didn't get used as the quick train journey into St Ives is a must. Will certainly be returning.

This apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished and is spacious. Everything is thought of even beach equipment in the wardrobe. The views are outstanding and the area is quiet apart from the train which was lovely to watch chugging back and forth to St Ives. We took a friend from Canada with us who was blown away by the whole experience. Can’t wait to revisit.

Excellent position near beach and station. Well equipped apartment. Spacious master bedroom with magnificent views and the sound of the sea.

We have stayed in various apartments over the years we have been coming to Carbis Bay. This one is perfect - the best we’ve ever stayed in. The view is superb - I could pour a glass of wine in the kitchen at the back of the apartment & still see the wonderful view. We left the French doors in the bedroom open all night to listen to the sound of the waves - so soothing. Everything you could possibly need was provided - so many luxurious touches. There was a great welcome pack containing a Cornish cream tea & milk/wine in the fabulous American fridge. Bathrooms are very well equipped - great showers & a spa bath. We loved this apartment & will definitely be booking again.

Excellently equipped, very comfortable and well located apartment with fantastic views.

The view, the view, the view! Breathtaking. A wonderful apartment, and perfect location for catching the train to St Ives. We had the best of both worlds, the lively St Ives and calm Carbis Bay. Thank you to the wedding party at the hotel for the amazing fireworks display on out last night! Super end to a super holiday.

We enjoyed our stay so much last year we had to come back again. Perfectly equipped, very comfortable with a private parking space and just a few minutes walk from the station to take you into St Ives. The views are even better now with the new glass balconies bringing the outside inside.

Loved the security of being in a gated apartment block and having an allocated parking space.

One of the best holiday's we have ever enjoyed. Opening the curtains early on a morning to the sun on Carbis bay and st Ives from a beautiful apartment bedroom was wonderful. Thank you.

A fabulous apartment with great views over the bay. The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfortable. Waking to the view over the sea was a memory not to be forgotten. A private reserved parking space together with easy access to the station for trains to St Ives or further afield means getting around is easy. Highly recommended.

Third time visiting this property. Absolutely love coming back each year and can’t wait until next year. Apartment is clean, perfectly placed and has anything you might need during your stay.

This was out 2nd time at this apartment and as before we loved it, the view yet again was amazing even thou it was November. We had everything that we needed it was a home from home. Can't wait till we come back again

Had a wonderful holiday. Aspects holidays - couldn’t fault them and the apartment was a cosy home from home with lots of thoughtful touches. Would highly recommend!

This our second visit to this apartment, the last time was 2010 it is still as good as we remembered . We have stayed in different properties in St Ives and Carbis Bay but Michelyn is by far the best.

I would highly recommend the Carbis Bay apartment, we felt very much at home. The rooms are extremely spacious and the sea views are spectacular.

The property was first class from the welcome hamper to the fantastic views, great to have onsite secure parking. The footpath down to the beach, and the station being a few minute walk away is great. Would definitely book this property again

Stunning property with views to match. Well eqipped and spotlessly clean. Good location meant we didn't have to use the car the whole time we were there. Fantastic property.

A truly relaxing and picture perfect property, overlooking the best beach in Cornwall! All the mod-cons, with comfy beds, massage chair, reclining sofas, jacuzzi and great facilities. We totally switched off and loved adventuring in this most idyllic part of the country, thank you!

wonderful as ever will be booking for next year later this morning

Excellent apartment had everything we needed and more. The view was stunning so it was very hard to take your eyes away from it. Will definitely be back again.

This property is superb. It is very luxurious and the views are to die for. The property is secured my electronic gates and we had our own parking space. There was absolutely nothing more we could have wished for. Fabulous holiday!
