Easter in Cornwall 2018

Easter is fast approaching, and with it the start of spring in Cornwall. With daffodils blooming, bees-a-buzzing and the sun shining (hopefully), it’s a beautiful time of year to be in Cornwall. As temperatures rise and days lengthen, more time can be spent enjoying the outdoors, exploring all that Cornwall has to offer.

Usually quieter than the summer season, the Easter break offers a slower pace so you can spend time enjoying long walks and lazy pub lunches; picnics on the beach and splashing in the sea; late breakfasts and relaxing in your holiday cottage. If you're feeling brave enough for a swim in the sea, most beaches are patrolled by lifeguards from Easter onward.

Many attractions in Cornwall are showcasing special Easter events, so why not pop along to one of the following:

Paradise Park 

Friday 30th March – Sunday 15th April

With an Easter Egg Hunt, the kids can have fun searching the park for clues and claim their Easter eggs at the end. After seeing the animals, why not pop along to the Jungle Barn for some fun time in the soft play?

Lappa valley 

Friday 30th March – Monday 2nd April

Ride the steam train into the valley park and then enjoy an egg hunt and join in with the duck racing competition. 

Glendurgan Easter Egg hunt 

Friday 30th March - Monday 2nd April

Explore the valley garden and complete the nature themed trail to win a Cadbury’s treat.

Flambards 

Saturday 24th March – Sunday 15th April

The Big Easter Egg Quiz Trail is running throughout the Easter holidays with additional daily entertainment, including magic shows and music performances. Don’t miss the ‘Explosive Easter’ show, where the kids can make their own gunge! 

Lanhydrock Easter Trail 

Saturday 24th March – Thursday 12th April

Follow the trail around the stately gardens and claim your Cadbury treat. Save some time to explore the grand house too!

Dairyland

Friday 30th – Monday 2nd April

The kids can enjoy an Easter egg hunt and Easter crafts at Dairyland, as well as seeing the animals and enjoying the soft play area.

Pendennis Castle 

Friday 30th March – Sunday 15th April

Join in with the 'Blast from the Past' event to travel back in time and meet Tudors this Easter. This Easter, the castle will be showcasing their new and exciting interactive experiences. 

Newquay Zoo 

Friday 30th March – Monday 2nd April

Join the 'Eggstreme Easter' event at the zoo this Easter – complete the Easter trail and claim chocolate prize.

The Lost Gardens of Helgan

Sunday 1st April - Sunday 15th April

Head to The Lost Gardens of Heligan this Easter for a special Trail celebrating the marriage of Mr and Mrs Scarecrow. 

The Eden Project 

Saturday 24th March - Sunday 15th April

 

Eden will be hosting an Easter extravaganza with an array of fun activities for the kids, including a giant obstacle course and an Easter egg trail, all included with the entrance fee.
